No. Those types of books are lacking. Spring for the bucks and get the dealer books, you will have part numbers and everything else you need. They will pay for themselves in a short time.

I bought the online Seloc because my Honda OEM manual seemed incorrect in a section (regarding impeller orientation). Sure enough Seloc is a watered down version of the OEM. It is not completely independently written from what I could tell because the same procedure was wrong in the Seloc. Brought the manual and parts over to a friend who is a mechanic and he agreed that the manual was wrong.

As for Seloc....I wouldn't recommend. an abridged version of the OEM manuals it seems.

good to read and understand
the factory manuals are meant for factory trained techs
some of the yami manuals are very hard to understand some times for the general public

I find that that the stock photos they use are either out of date or not detailed enough. Depending on what you are inclined to do, you could be fine with a Seloc. If you are doing something more than basic maintanence you should purchase the factory tech manual. They are worth the money.

I agree. My Seloc manual might as well not have pictures because they are grainy black and white and very hard to tell what you are looking at. My merc manual is much better.

If you can't understand a factory shop manual, you shouldn't be messing with the motor to begin with.
