Default Help with commissioning a water system

Can you please help?

2000 Pursuit 2870 W/A

Water system has been winterized, but going out fishing tomorrow and want to use the raw water washdown pumps to get rid of the fishblood.

My boatyard is hopelessly slow, I must be able to do this myself, no?

Thanks

You should just need to turn on the seacock for the supply to the pump, once the boat is in the water the first thing you need to do is turn it on to check for leaks in hoses and then turn on the pump to prime it once again making sure of leaks if it leaks turn off the seacock thats about it.

thanks, does that just mean I connect the hose and run the pump? what happens to the winterizer/antifreeze? can't just dump that in the ocean...

depending on what you put in its probably environmentally safe. What did you out in it?

Commercial marinas are using non-toxic (environmentally safe) antifreeze in all systems now. Pump it into the water unless you have reason to believe they broke the law when winterizing it.
