Default No Power On Brand New F115TXR

I took out my Brand New F115 for its maiden voyage yesterday. Everything was great for about 2 hours. I decide to cut off the motor and drift for a little bit. When I tried to start the motor to move, there was no power. The trim did not even work. There is a dual battery switch installed, so I switched from each one and both, but still no power to the motor. Although all of my electronics were still working.

I took off the cowling and checked all of the fuses. They were all fine. After I replaced the last fuse, I tried the trim again and it worked fine and I was able to start the motor. I continued to run the motor for 2 more hours and headed to the dock. Right as we pulled up to the dock, the motor cut off as I tried to trim it up. There was no power again. The engine would not start and the trim did not work again. I checked the fuses again and they were fine. Power can back after I put in the last fuse. This is a brand new motor, so I’m thinking there is a problem with the installation. Do you guys have any ideas? I just wanted to get some options before I take it to the dealer. Thanks in advance.

If it happened twice checking the same fuse, I'd be tracing the wire to the nearest connection. Sounds like maybe there's a bad connection and when you are wiggling it checking the fuse, you are probably making the connection. I had a new Jeep that gave use and the dealers fits for a week or so, turned out to be a bad wiring harness. Also check your battery connections.

There are a couple of sliding and locking (big connectors) behind the dash near the keyswitch . I was messing around with some stuff behind the dash and knocked one loose and the same thing happened. Be sure they are pressed tightly together and clicked....It will be something simple, dont panic. It just might be a little bit of pain finding it but it will be something simple...

Thanks guys. I'll make sure to check all connections. I know it's got to be something simple. I spoke to one of the service guys at my dealer. He said the same thing. He said to check the battery connections and the battery switch. He did not mention the key switch, but I will check that also. I'll keep you guys up to date of what fixed the problem. Thanks again guys. This board is awesome.

It happened to me this past weekend. I think someone said it above but Make sure to tighten all connectors at the battery. That was my problem anyway. Hope it helps
