OUPV Safety equipment requirements

Does anyone have a web link for the safety equipment requirements when running fishing charters? I had a sight at the Juneau Alaska branch, but it has been deleted.

Also the requirements differ between near shore and off shore... What are the definitions?

The applicable laws come under the 1988 Commercial vessel safety act. The most restrictive/expensive aspect is the requirement for survival suits for all aboard if you are north of lattitude 32. I hope this link is helpful.

There is a great publication put out by the Fifth Coast Guard district concerning this, but I cannot find it on line. At any rate, the regulations themselves are in subchapter C of 46CFR. Use this link http://www.access.gpo.gov/nara/cfr/w...6cfr25_06.html and then look for the specific equipment.
