I just wanted to share this with anyone thinking of installing underwater lights on their boat. You can see from the step-by-step pictures that it's a pretty simple do-it-yourself job for most people.
I wanted to go with 2 units, but between the twin outboards and the trim tabs, I couldnt find any good spots to drill 2 holes evenly spaced. I decided to go with a single 50W HID underwater light between the motors, right above the drain plug.
Now you need to put some of those TrimBright trim tab lights that you sell on either side. That would look awesome!! The fish wouldn't know what him them. Thanks for showing us the thru hull install.
Pursuit29, I was thinking on installing a set of the Trim Tab Lights in LED as well, this way I can leave those on at the dock for hours without worrying about the batteries. If I install the TrimBrights I'll try and do a write-up and post it here.
Marker150, They can be used to attract fish, but I mostly installed it because I think it looks neat at night. It's pretty cool at night when you're anchored and swimming in the light or just docked at a bar.
does look good, u did a nice job. I just don't think I'd have the nads to drill that hole.... for me, it's better to hire someone and then check when he's done!!
