And NO this is not SPAM I currently own a Blazer Bay 2170 and I love the boat. I have had it for about a year and it is excellent for my FISHING purposes. My Wife and me were killing some time looking this weekend at Bay boats. We looked at Sea Pro, Blue Wave, Frontier, Sea Hunt, and Nautic Star. My wife has expressed a STRONG interest in having the fold down seats on the rear deck, the ones that fold down to where you can walk on them when not being used. Better for the kids. The Blazer has the two side pedastal seats but she prefers the other, as with the Nautic Star. The boats are for the most part very similar, length / beam / weight and basic layout. My Blazer has the spackle finish inside...Which we Love...low maintenance and easier on the eyes with the glare as opposed to a liner. The NS has the liner. Curious if anyone has this specific boat and if so, any pro / cons with it and what kind of out the door price would I be looking at. I was thinking about $27,500 - $30,000 with a 4-stroke 150. Never spoke to a salesman, saw it today. Any input would be appreciated.

Before I purchased My Blazer. I looked and compared for about a year. I dont think NS was making this boat in 2004 / 2005, if so, I never saw it. It is a very nice boat and it was actually the only one that stood out to us.

After we purchased the Blazer, my brother expressed an interest in part ownership and we decided to do that. I work in Law Enforcement and I am a detective. and as a result of this, I am on call every other week and this severly shortens my fishing time. My brother works overseas and is home every other month, so it seemed like the perfect arrangement. As time progressed, I have been able to get away a little more trying to take more time with the kids, and giving up the boat every other month is tuff. After time on the water, the wife would like for a different design, like this....I know it just the seats, but she is the wife. I know it may sound trivial, but thats pretty much it.

Those seats are pretty low, make sure that they are comfortable for what you plan on using the boat for before you make deal. Otherwise, it is a nicely equipped boat for the price, and I think you should be easily under $30K with electronics, trailer, and maybe even the trolling motor. Basic BMT with a 150 Suzuki was only mid $20's last fall when I got my Offshore.

Gee I wonder why he said this was not spam. To me that indicates yes it is spam and designed to hype a product that can't be sold. Why would someone start a forum statement like that?
I just purchased the 2200 and a friend of mine purchased the 2110. The rear jump seats are nice, but I find that my family uses the bow cushions more. The only problem that I have found with the boat is that the non-skid surface is difficult to clean. I just purchased some "non-skid surface cleaner". Hopefully that will do the trick.

Edit: Loaded with Nautic Star Seats, front Lowrance x86, console mounted 522c, Suzuki 4 stroke 150, 80lb trolling motor, bimini top, VHF, and stainless prop my friend paid $28,000.
Nice first post there crabman. I bought a 2110 Nautic star a few weeks ago with a F150 Yamaha. Haven't picked it up yet but I will let you know how it does after this weekend. Haven't even tried it in the water yet so hopefully it will be as good or better than the 1900 Sea Pro Bay boat I had.
Thanks guys, Not sure what got under crabbies skin The only reason I began my post that way was due to some recent history here regarding this manufacture / salespeople. But enough of that, Im not going to waste any more time attempting to validate my intentions to someone of that caliber Just looking for some constructive input, nothing more / nothing less.

Well, it's either deadwood or someone that has not been on the site for the past few months of his rantings that would know why the 1st post was worded the way it was.
Good luck with your boat shopping.

My first post was a question similar to yours and one of the first responses that I received was from deadwood. He told me that the Nautic Star was a piece of junk and that everything would fall off of it days after I bought it. I think if you look closely at the Nautic Star you'll find a very well built boat at a reasonable price. I like the 2200 a little better than the 2110, but they are both very nice boats.
We also looked at a 2200 and yes it is nice. The one we looked at has a 225 on it and Im sre that boat has to be close to $38,000 or more. A little more boat than I need and too much $$$ for a poor guy...
