I have the 2200. My family and friends love the rear fold down seats. They are always the first to be taken. I have been very pleased with my boat. The finish is very good on the outside and could possibly be improved underneath where the wells meet with the liner. However the boat has met all my expectations. For comparison I got mine in 05 with a 200 Opti with a couple of added options for 32,500. Hope this helps
I take delivery of my NS 2200 on Thursday from LTD Motors in High Springs. I have owned Sea Pro SV2100CC and Action Craft 1802 TE In the Last 5 years and numerous other boats smaller than that. I was looking hard for a boat that met family needs and budget. After 8 months of looking I bought the NS. I have talked with plenty of people who own the brand and researched the net for other input. The NS boats as a hole are known for a good visual first impression. I have only found one person that I beleive to be credible that had issues that he felt were worth him trading the boat on something else, and it was a 2005 18' boat which is a low end package anyway.
As far as posting on any forum looking for information on the NS brand, I have posted on many looking for information on the boats and have always been met with atleast a couple of "OH GOD it's another NS saleman looking for any press good or bad" responses. Just ignore the S**T and someone will post a reasonable response. Good luck on your research and remember the only opinion that counts is from the guy who pays the bills in your house>>>>

FYI,
I just loaned my Suzuki 3x16x21.5 prop to my friend that bought a 2110. He has the Suzuki DF150 like mine and he said the prop was a perfect match for his boat. He was able to run 53 mph @ 6000 RPM. That is by the GPS. I know that's negative slip, but how do you argue with the numbers? Suzuki must have a higher pitch on their props then derate them to account for slip.
He said that it jumped up on plane instantly. He said that he didn't fall off plane until 2900 rpm's. He didn't know the speed, but said that it felt like he was creeping along.
Sorry I missed this post originally. Please let me know what information you need regarding the Nautic Star. I purchased a NS 2110 w/ 200 Optimax. I have had the boat in the water 4 times as of now and I am extremely happy with the boat. As far as fit and finish goes the boat is great. The Jump seats in the rear are very nice and comfortable. My Girlfriend and my son always take those over the Bait Well Seat in front of the console.
You need to keep looking. The NS line is made by the same people that produced the ProMaster bayboat for Travis Marine in my area (Louisiana). The factory address for NS and ProMaster is the same (Amory, Ms). The Pro had really poor quality inside and out. No re-sale and no dealer support since Travis is gone. New name-same junk? The Frontier line is being produced by Bill Kenner, who built the original Kenner bayboats. The old Kenner boats and the new Kenner boats are not the same. Bill sold the Kenner name to Tracker/Bass Pro several years back and he is now making the Frontier. A large number of guides use/used the old Kenner. Not a fancy boat but rock solid. The 21 Frontier also has the jump seats you are looking for. The new Ranger and Skeeter 22 are awesome but more money.

I ordered a 2200 bay with e-tec 225ho a couple of weeks ago and should be taking delivery in a few more weeks. I didn't know much about boats but did what research I could and compared them to others. For the money, I thought I made a good choice. I looked at skeeter and rangers bay boats (which were very nice) but they were out of my price range for what I wanted. After reading some posts on here however, I will admit I am a little scared as some seem to be really bashing these boats. Is the boat junk, or are some dealers just jerks trying to use this board as sales outlet?? I take delivery on mine a couple weeks and have put a deposit down; I would like to hear from those with actual experience (ie actually own the boat) as to what they think about it, any problems since purchase, any thing that could be better. Please pm me. Thanks
I have the 2200 Nautic Bay. I just got it about two months ago. I am very pleased with it. Regardless what all the naysayers are saying, it is a very well built boat. If you read closely, the people that hate them don't own them. Ask the owners, not the jealous wannabe's. You will not be dissapointed. I have owned many boats over the years and this one is by far the best.
And NO this is not SPAM I currently own a Blazer Bay 2170 and I love the boat. I have had it for about a year and it is excellent for my FISHING purposes. My Wife and me were killing some time looking this weekend at Bay boats. We looked at Sea Pro, Blue Wave, Frontier, Sea Hunt, and Nautic Star. My wife has expressed a STRONG interest in having the fold down seats on the rear deck, the ones that fold down to where you can walk on them when not being used. Better for the kids. The Blazer has the two side pedastal seats but she prefers the other, as with the Nautic Star. The boats are for the most part very similar, length / beam / weight and basic layout. My Blazer has the spackle finish inside...Which we Love...low maintenance and easier on the eyes with the glare as opposed to a liner. The NS has the liner. Curious if anyone has this specific boat and if so, any pro / cons with it and what kind of out the door price would I be looking at. I was thinking about $27,500 - $30,000 with a 4-stroke 150. Never spoke to a salesman, saw it today. Any input would be appreciated.
Gee I wonder why he said this was not spam. To me that indicates yes it is spam and designed to hype a product that can't be sold. Why would someone start a forum statement like that?
