Default Marathon Florida Charter fishing

I am going to be in Marathon Florida on March 23, 24, 25.

Can anyone suggest a Skipper for an offshore trip?

Is there a 32 foot El Charo, or El Chino?

Ready to book a day,but don't want to waste money on a less than professional trip.

All comments will be appreciated

Do you need to fish out of Marathon? If not a bit back up the Keys in Islamorada (sp?) is Bud&Mary's who run a great chartering service.

I went out with Captain Pip's MM 47.5, Bayside and did great on Mahi Mahi. Caught about 12 schoolies and two slammers myself. Check out their website ( www.captainpips.com ) my picture is on the first page of photos. Good luck.

Might want to try the Edgewater lodge

http://www.thefloridakeys.com/edgewater/

I did not see it on this site for them but the owner does/did charters from there and he is a big time tournement fisherman and good.

Ive fished with Capt Ron Collins (Poco Loco) out of Marathon a few times. Super nice guy, great boat, live bait, good times. His phone is 305-743-9817, email is pocoloco@marathonkey.com.

Be careful of the tourist-trap charters- Capt Collins will take good care of you.

Good luck!

I mate for Capt. Jack Carlson one week a year and can tell you that I never had a day where we didnt catch what we went fishing for.

The only problem is, b/c he is so good, he is hard to get, fishes over 300 days a year.

Call him now, you wont be sorry.
