I hate to say but I am not overly impressed with perfomance numbers. Twin 150s on Sailfish 2360 are only 1 mph slower, and dragging another lower unit, get better fuel economy.
Well having owned a 32 Regulator with 300 HPDI's before, I will tell you that I would rather have the F350's over them any day. I could hardly get 1.2mpg in flat calm water at 4000 RPM's where the test boat had a full tank of fuel getting 1.22mpg at 4500 RPM's doing 4-6 mph faster than the 300hpdi's.
Performance numbers look good and the twins on the 36 Grady look to be about the same as triple F250s, would like to see it with trip F350s! Fuel burn isn't all that bad if you compare it to the same hp on the same hull. Is that the first Contender to surpass the 70 mark? I wonder how all that extra weight affects the way the 36 runs as it already is a little bow light with trip F250s or Verados.
I bet thats the only 32 reg to go 60. I think the numbers look pretty good. Notice all the boats are full of fuel. Man that 36 grady is big, 20000 pounds wow.
I hope they are not just strapping those motors to existing molds without doing the needed engineering given the weight and thrust of those beasts. If not there will be some serious hulland transom damage out there.

I've read these kind of comments a few times now and don't quite know if I understand the theory behind them. Wouldn't twin F350's, in most cases, be replacing a normally triple powered boat and a single F350 would replace a twin power? The sad part is that there will not be much weight savings but it should definitely not add weight to the transom?

If those end up being the real performance numbers I think this engine might be a bust for the larger hulls - Unless top speed is of the utmost importance. On the GW these numbers are basically the same as the trip 250's....But, these tests were done with no canvas, and likely not a full load.....My REAL WORLD performance with full gear, gas, canvas, water etc...Are almost exactly the same. I personally wouldn't tradt the trips for this set-up. There is no way the boat will plane with a single 350....It WILL plane with two 250's....also, I wantr the extra prop area spinning on this boat as it helps in down sea performance.......I'm sure this motor will have plenty of great aplications....But compared to my current set-up I'm disappointed....As for trip 350's on the 36....It'll be fast...But unbelievable thirsty.....

If GW could prep the 330 to accept twin F350s... now that would be a fast but less thirsty setup.
I heard they're going on the Edgewater 318cc soon. Curious to see those numbers as well.

Good Comment. That may be a prototype 36' Contender because I know all the large Contenders are all being configured for the F350.
Intrepid has already modified their molds for the larger, heavier outboards--although I understand they are further modifying the molds to accomodate the transom depth needed to accomodate the f350 in the up position.
Someone please put a pair on a 34 Venture.... would love to see numbers on that combo. Does anyone know if Venture is considering this set up?
I think this application might be a good solution for big boats that are not designed for trips like the 32 Regulator and Venture.
I personally have been foot dragging on ordering a 33T to see what a pair of 350s would do over the trips. Planning on sticking with the trips as it appears there is not going to be a fuel savings.
Do we have any comparison of these numbers and say twin or tripple Suzuki 300's? There's a ton of weight savings with the Suzuki's...You could rig tripp 300 suzukis for just over the weight of the twin yamaha 350's and have an added 200hp.
I gotta ask, my friend has a 32' regulator but a 2000. AWESOME boat, but can that boat hold the 350s?? We have been awaiting these numbers and of all the boats I think this setup might be perfect on the Regulator.
