Default Repair Inflatable PFD?

We just did the in the pool check on the PFDs prior to rearming and repacking for the year. One of the older Sospenders has developed a leak. It is a small hole on the front away from a seam. I looked quick on line and did not see repair kits available. I understand the manufacturer not wanting to market repair kits.

Anyone ever make a repair on an inflatable? How has it held up?

Probably time to hand mine down and buy myself one of the new Mustang Survival Deluxe Inflatable Collar PFDs. Man they are comfortable.

Hand yours down to who?? Would you trust an inflatable PFD with a patch on it 30 miles out in the Gulf.

I'd suggest that goop they use to fix inflatables. I've used this for a towable and its a lot easier to apply in odd spots than a patch.

I'd be realy nervous about activating it though since that might not be the only weak spot. Use it as a "training aid" but skip the charging kit.

Good luck

Contact the company. I would imagine they might either help you or make suggestions.
