Default Post your spring commisioning surprises

Spring is here and most folks here in the NE are getting ready for another season.

So post your spring commisioning surprises.

Mine,

> 1 cracked weld on canvas top frame
> Very slight fuel filter leak on my 150 HPDI
> Freshwater pump not working

Both of my 150 HPDI's started right up which means I must have winterized them properly.

My marina touched up some paint on my lower unit that was scuffed by mooring lines last year . I didn't ask them to do it, I figured I'd have to do it. Pleasant surprise.

My boat sat on a rack at the marina for 3 months. The boat was uncovered and on the lower rack. When I boarded the boat last month I was horrified to find it in the condition it was in.

It took about 30 minutes to fill the tanks, turn on the electronics, lift the antenna and launch the boat. Heck, I didn't even think about washing it before the fishing trip. The next day it was 90 miles off the beach running like a big dog in the tall grass.

Mine started on the first turn. I never does that during the season, always starts on the second.

A bit of mildew here and there and a corroded starboard nav light. Everything else, fully commissioned and running great.
