OIl Pump replaced on 2003 FICHT / No oil light still occurs

My mechanic bleed the oil system and installed a new oil lift pump on the 2003 250 HP ficht ram.

I took it out and after 15 minutes and at 4,100 rpms the no oil light came on.

What else could it be?

Did the mechanic test the oil pressure after installation to make sure it met specs and that the regulator was working correctly? Did he test the oil alarm system to come on at the correct psi? Did he inspect the oil tank, pickup filter, hose, primer, fittings, etc. also? Did he bleed or "burb" the pressure sensor to make sure there was no air blockage? Did he inspect the sensor connector to see if any oil contamination is causing false alarms?

Does squeezing the oil primer ball make the NO OIL light go out?

Oil on the sensor connector was causing my light to go off on my previous F2003 225 Ficht..

The oil pressure sender is in the oil injector and the emm sends a 'no oil' alarm. a oil pressure guage can be adapted to test the oil injector pressure, has the guage been subsituted to test it ? Are the system check lites in the tach or a seperate guage, don't forget to test the boat [instrument] cable. let us know the outcome. Jupiterzeke
