Are you looking for a bull rake with aluminum handle or a scratch rake? If you travel from Forked River down to Tuckerton , you should find one somewhere in between if stop by the marinas where the clammers dock. I have several, but like me are worn out!

I have seen a vendor advertise clam rakes on thebassbarn.com in the sale section. If you do a search in the barn sale section you can probably find one.

I don't know the difference between a commercial or scratch style, but the guy on the bass barn is a private individual named Jason. His screen name is Margaritaville.

He makes his own out of stainless steel, and they look good to me.

I like Clams..I rake my own. Course I find they can sometimes taste better if they are shaved first...

Pick up a copy of the National Fisherman (commercial mag) The ads in the back you will find virtually anything for commercial fishing

Default clam rake

I have a couple of old clam rakes. The teeth have to be replaced on both. They are big. Did you find any yet? I am in Little Egg which is not too far.

First Louisj......... Welcome to the board.

I would guess he probably has the rake he wants by now since this thread is over 4 years old.

Make sure you take a second and look at the date of a thread before you reply to it. If it is old, just send a PM ( private message ) instead of bringing the thread back to the top.

Click on the link below to see a basic outline as to how THT works.

THT forum guidelines and rules - please read before posting

Last thing, go into your PROFILE and put what city / state you are in so guys know where you are located when you put something up for sale.

Welcome to the board and enjoy.......

I have 12' clam tongs in my garage. Iron teeth, bronze basket. No broken teeth. $125 takes it away (U pick up in Summit NJ area).
