Put 12" wide bunk carpet on a 3"x10" bunk ?

How do cover a 3" x 10" bunk with a 12" wide peace of carpet?

Not sure if there is a place that you can buy a wider piece then 12"? I have only been able to find 12".

Is there a way doing it with 12" wide stuff?

you can cover it with 12 in, the boat will only touch 10in. anyways. down in fl it is relatively easy to find the larger stuff. try going to a trailer manufacturer, if there is one near you. good luck.

snookman is on target. you can use our standard roll carpet and just cover the top and sides of the bunk. No need to wrap the whole bunk.

Thanks for the info guys, I have heard\\read people have been using outdoor carpet from Home Depot. Anyone here use the stuff? Would like to know what you'll think.

You could go to your local welding shop and buy 4 strips of SS 1" wide by X number of feet long. Have the shop put a 10 degree break (bend or fold) in its length and have them drill holes every 5" or so.

Install your 12" carpet, install the SS edge banding with SS screws along the edges of the carpet. The job will look like the pros did it.
