I need some wiring ideas to finish out my Mako 261 project. I have been trying to search the archives for some pics (the search function keeping timing out on me) of the super clean wiring jobs that are in the top-o-line CC's (Yellowfin, Sea Vee, Jupiter, etc)... Anyone have any pics or links to pics of these wireing installs. Any pics showing the battery installs would be nice too.
Try limiting the search to the electronics forum & within the last 6 month. Sometime that will get results w/o the dreaded timeout. I have seen there some slick do-it-yourself wiring pics in the past.

I just finished rewiring my Whaler using a BEP 716 Battery Cluster Switch ...... don't know if you'd classify as super clean but I think it came out pretty good. I took some of ideas from these pictures I took of other boats. Click on the site to watch slideshow.
Good start here... I am getting the BEP marine 6-pack (twin engine switches w/ twin VSR's) for batt switches. I'll have 2 starting batts and a house batt. Most of the switched electrical compontent will be lights. I am having a custom panel made by a guy in Boston who does pretty sweet panels.
I didn't find much in the Miami show pixs. Most were of shiny gelcoat. I'll look through again.
I asked that same question a while back on the SeaCraft site and got these answers.......I agree, Contender, SeaVee, Yellowfin, etc. have excellent wiring!!
Just use Blue Sea Systems components, they will make your wiring look pro no matter how much of an amature you are.
I kind of had to work with what was already there but it came out pretty good. If you can get heat shrink tubing with numbers on it, that is the best for marking your wires (it saves a lot of money vs. buying a whole bunch of colors). Solder every connection, even crimpped ones.
Hey bluewaterpirate, do you do marine wiring for a living? Your work looks great. Judging from the work you've done in the slide show, I would hire you any day!
Use Blue Sea clamshells anywhere wires need to go through bulkheads to areas exposed to weather/water like transducer and antenna wires. They are completely waterproof and look good. I don't have a close up picture, but there are 2 on my transom where the transducer and speed sensor wires pass through.
