Default 1986 johnson 90hp vro

I think I have a seal on the lower unit leaking by, last year I had oil comming out of the hub behind the prop when the boat sat idle. Then when I went to change the lower unit oil this spring it was a milky color so I no I got water in it. Any ideas on where to start.

Thanks

I had the same issue 2 years ago. Take it to a shop and have them perform a leak down test. This will allow you to pinpoint where the leak is coming from instead of guessing. My guy charged me $50.....It was worth it. Good luck!

Take the lower unit off. Either bring it in and have it fixed or do it your self. Probably the shaft seal

I had the 1990 version of that motor. Had a leaky lower unit one year. Was the prop shaft seal.
