I believe the Suzuki manual states that it is 1.3 quarts. I was only able to squeeze in 1 quart before it was overflowing through the top.
Would anyone happen to know the correct amount? Should I try to add additional through the overflow hole?
Just pump until it comes out the top. You can't add oil into the top. Go slow, sometimes you air trapped inside. Put the bottom plug in and turn the prop over by hand and check again.

Mine's never taken more than a quart, either. Don't sweat it.
