RE: water pump change out pretty straigtforward if you have some mechanical aptitude. get someone to help you put it back on and line things up. get a good shop manual too. order the kit from the internet for a lot less money, check the anodes around the motor while you are at it, buy all the odd lubricants, i.e. adhesive tacking gasket sealer, triple guard grease, some corrosion cleaner like boeing t-10., a can of pb blaster for corroded bolts and nuts, new lube for the lower end while you are at it, new stainless cotter pin for the prop.,
it helps to have a workbench to hold your lower end upright while working on it to replace the impellar kit.
Its a good thing to learn to do and will save you a bunch of money on your life of the motor. |
