Default New to boating - ins?

I just purchased a 17' Seaswirl Striper for use in the Barnegat Bay, NJ. Can anyone give me advice on the best company to use for insurance? (liability etc.) Any experience with BoatUS and Seatow Seainsure?
Thanks for the help

Well I'm new too, but I use State Farm, they have all my policies and they seem pretty reasonable from what I have read on here. I will be getting the tow insurance from TowboatUS, unlimited for $120, that seems tough to beat.

Try ACE American, they quoted a great rate for my Sundancer here in Florida.

I've been through this, and have read lots of threads on this. Call all of the companies you can find and be sure to compare apples to apples. Some companies offer new replacement within the first 5 years, others offer only "agreed value", etc. I went with a company that offered disappearing deductibles, full replacement and agreed value after all that. (Progressive) Get your phone charged up to get ready to call lots of folks.

I second Progressive as top choice. Whatever you do, shop around and read the coverage specifics. I did, and ended up with Progressive.
