The Tigercat facinates me--why is the GW not liked?

Well, since you asked...

Try a search. No sense in filling up this thread with all the dirt on the Tigercat.

Glad to hear that the OP is a happy camper. First one that I have heard of.

The three GW dealers that I personally spoke to admitted that they were pretty much a non-sellable model.

Good luck!

I have a 98 F-26 Tigercat with Twin 200hp Yamaha 2 strokes and I average 1.1 miles per gallon the boat holds 202 gallons fuel. I too love my boat!

From what I've heard from reliable sources, the Grady X-26 (center console) has a much better ride than the Tigercat walk around. I sea-trailed the Tigercat walkaround and it was terrible. However the X-26 has a very strange cockpit layout.

So much for not "attacking" the Tigercat and answering the op's question!

with the f26 and 150 two strokes -- 4200 rpm at 25 knots -the fuel management says 1.6mph total for both engines. Been that way since I bought the boat in 1997. Don't worry about the white noise on this site. The only thing that matters is catching fish safely.
