Default Suzuki Finance

First dealer I tried to buy from in New Smyrna Beach asked me to sign a blank "UCC" form. Said it was just a form sent to the state documenting the sale. I being of sound mind do not sign blank forms period and told the saleshole so. Completed all other pertinent docs, left the boat with the dealer, and drove home to Miami with all assurances the boat would be rigged by weeks end. Next day got a call from salesholes manager "We are overnighting you said UCC form, please sign and return. Again I said I do not sign blank forms. Saleshole manager instructs me to come an get my boat. Immediately start I drive to get my boat. As I am exiting I95 at NSB saleshole manager on phone again. "Just wanted to see if we can save this deal." Yes I said if you can have that boat rigged in 15 minutes the deal is still on. Picked up boat from Diamond Suzuki and drove back to Miami. Just got customer satisfaction survey from Suzuki in mail today. Evil grin.

I have currently applied to Portside Marine Suzuki in Cudjoe Key for 2007 175 4 stroke. Approved again! Dealer faxed me copy of Note and security agreement.
2006 Suzuki DF175txzk7. Questioned saleshole about 2006 number. Told not to worry about it that the engine was not in the Suzuki database and indeed the engine was of course a 2007 model year.

Can somebody shed some light on what the *&^%$#$%^&* is going on with these people???

Update: Saleshole is now going to hand write a new contract since Suzuki will not enter the motor in their database. (Were only three months into '07)

What kind of financing are you getting from Suzuki? Do they offer fixed rate loans?

Unfortunatelly some boat/motor salesholes (what a perfect phrase) are becoming more like car sales men.. NJ Outboards is primary example of one... Biloxi, did you decide on a single 300?

I was approved for 84 months @ 9.5% 10% down from Suzuki. I'm gonna buy a Yammy now. If Suzuki motors are anything like their business infrastructure we should all run fast and far.

Roman, not yet. But definetely considering it. Taking the plunge from twins to a single is a bit nerve racking. Going to take some thinking.

Sam, I wouldn't give up on Suzuki because of this. Find a good dealer, they're out there. Those Zuke's are good motors.

I don't really understand your post, but I purchased my motors from another dealer and Diamond was more accommodating then my selling dealer for getting me the right props.

Many years down the road . No seriously, that's again a dealer issue. There are no more problems getting parts and more and more dealers are selling/servicing Zukes. What warranty problems have you had, Tommy?
