Windshield frame material

Hello folks,
just found this forum, looks great

I have an 89 arriva 2452 bowrider and I am trying to find a source for materials to rebuild the aluminum u-channel frames for the glass on the windshield walk-thru, the windshield
panel that opens to allow you to walk thru to the bow.
I don't expect to find the direct replacement but would like to find something similar I can work with.
Piano hinge material would be nice too.
I've been looking work awhile
Any ideas?

shot in the dark but you might call some commercial glass & glazing contractors in your area
if they are busy they'll tell you to get lost
if they arent they might be able to help you
most of the big ones fab their own aluminum frames and trim

There are several major fabricators of boat windshields and even local shops who might have just what you're looking for and you might be able to purchase a section from them...

I'm presently working with Taylor Marine on getting an entire windshield...

wow, that is exactly what i am looking for, i emailed them to see how i go about getting what i need.
wouldn't it be cool if they we the oe manufacturer and had blueprints. Thanx
