Re: kicker motor-bracket and motor While it might lean to one side or the other, that can be counterbalanced by putting the kicker on the side opposite the battery(s). We had a 6 hp kicker on our, dare I say it, Bayliner for a number of years and had no real problem with it listing to one side. Only problem we had with that was my weight on one side without counterbalance on the other side. We now have a 22 foot dual console fishing boat with a 9.9 hp kicker and it, unfortunately, is mounted on the same side as the batteries and me and does a list a bit at rest or trolling, but rides very level when on plane. I think it depends on the type of kicker bracket you buy as to whether you need a long or short shaft kicker but I bought a 25" shaft kicker to attach to my fixed RemoteTroll bracket that is attached to the boat, a eurotransom, on the step. It pushes my 22' boat as well as I need and just tilts up when we get ready to go somewhere a little bit faster. In short, don't worry about the list, it will be very minimal and shouldn't cause you any real problems.
