Default TTop crack in aluminum?

Was out cleaning the Sea Pro and looked up at the TTop and noticed a crack in the horizontal tubing That ties the two vertical tubes together. The entire bottom of the tube is cracked. I tried to call the dealer but they haven't returned my call, yet. Will this be under warranty? The boat is 18 months old.

Thanks

Probably not. Its not part of the hull so it usually gets a one year unless your dealer extended it as part of the deal.

Nope. Maybe under "good faith" or if you have a caring dealer. Sea Pros only come with a 1 year "bumper to bumper" warranty with the exception of the hull and the motor (different warranty).

If you are on your own, it should be an easy enough fix. I would think with enough drop cloths, it could be fixed without removing the top from the boat.

Thanks guys. That's what I was afraid of. I plan on calling the local T-Top builder in the area tomorrow, hopefully it won't be too $.

I'd still wait for a response from the dealer first, allow them the opportunity to do you right, although they are probably under no obligation to do so.
