Brad,
Planning on taking my son there tomorrow between 1 & 5. If you see a guy hauling his son on his shoulders... that was me, my son would have flipped out and said I had to buy a bigger boat. I would remove us from site before he talked me into it.

Hope to see ya there!

Bobby

Bobby, I'll be there, probably around the same time too (Im working the midnight watch tonight) I'll take a nap in the morning and then head over there about the same time, Im not sure if I have your # anymore but gimme a hollar if ya want 706-254-6294.

Unless this wind lays down to less than 15kts or so, I'll be at the show. Id like to go fishing, but I can only take wind or cold....not BOTH!! TTYL

I'll be there today, too. With wife, son, and son's friend. Wife's coming to remind me what we cannot afford, my son to help me counter the agruments, and my son's friend because the friend's Dad is "afraid to go to those things".

Yall...I dont know....its starting to really lay down out here....wind is down to 8 kts at CH according to the PORTS screen, and I found an Army Corps of Engineers website that has a wave height gauge down near Curituck....it says 1 ft 2mi out w/ an 8 sec period...that to me is GOOD fishing weather.

May not have this chance again for a while......I might have to take a rain check on the boat show today!!!

BTW, heres that army site http://www.frf.usace.army.mil/

Let us know what you thought of the Show. Is the building really finished? I will driving down to work in the area tomorrow and will be staying for a couple of weeks at the Ocean Front. I will have my hand held VHF with me. If anyone is out fishing and needs a "bird report" I will be staying at the Courtyard on 25th Street and will monitor 68. I always come down to work in the area around the time of the Boat Show, however it has been crappy for the last couple of years due to construction at the Convention Center.

convention cernter looked done to me. Was out there yesterday for a few hours. My first time there. Lots of cool stuff to check out, but I don't ahve much to compare it to in order to say if it's a good show or not. I got to talk to 4 possilbe marinas (looking for where to put my lil boat)all in one place.. so it worked out nicely for me.
