CGaviator,
That hatch is really heavy to begin with. I disconnected the actuators once and tried to lift it higher with a ratchet strap tied to the rocket launcher bar on top. Couldn't budge it. It must take a crane to lift off the deck for an engine replacement. Plus, I must have 300#'s of gear in the cabinets, so, I don't think another 100#'s hanging on it would change a thing.

Where did you find the insulation?
Dry
I am not sure exactly where it came from. My dad sourced it in Florida for me and tossed it on the boat before it was hauled home. I will ask him and let you know.

Take a look at www.secondskinaudio.com
Do you think any of their products would work?
We are looking at manufacturing the liquid versions for them.

There is no reason you cannot buy some insulating material and do itself.

I used insulation with lead from Soundown or some such name. Google Soundown and you will find them. Used 3Ms Spray 90 which is super strength contact spray. Lined three deck hatches over Yanmar 240s on my Aquasport Tournament Master. I also put undercarpet sound control insulation from the same company and cut to fit the rubber backed commercial carpet on top of that. Used individual pieces for each hatch so could open one at a time, two at a time or all. Aquasport also has side exhausts but the insulation did help. Aquasport had some insulation under the hatches but did not cover the entire hatch buttom.

Offshore27,

Off the subject, I stumbled on this site while researching the Pursuit 3000 Express. I hope to purchase my own this summer. I also hope to trailer the Pursuit, so I can store it inside like I see from your pictures, you do. I was hoping you could share your experiences about how you making this boat trailerable, i.e. bow installation, trailer procurement, or any other hurdles you may have encountered and overcame.

BTW, gorgeous boat!

Thanks!
