Default Damn squirrels are eat the plastic on my gas tank!

At first i thought i was going crazy, but I have finally figure out what has been tearing up my portable gas tanks. I caught a squirrell chewing on the plastic cap of my gas tank. This is the second time that this has happened.

Has anyone else had this happen?

Nothing says "adverse conditioning" like lead.

Yes, my red portables too. It is okay to shoot a squirrel. You don't need to feel bad about it. Just make sure you have a clear shot because they are really tough. Like that gopher on Caddy Shack.

I have become Bill Murray in the past with a BB gun. I had a few squirrels take up residence in my attic. Even bought a BB gun with a scope to do the job. My uck, I'll shoot a hole in the dang tank!

My wife asked me what I felt when I pulled the trigger to shoot the first one. I told her "recoil."

(taken from an old joke)

About 15 years ago, we had some squirrels eat the electrical wiring on my inlaws pontoon boat. They also chewed through the battery cables. They used the chewed up material to make a nest in the glove compartment.

I had red squirrels here for a few weeks. They all died from lead poisoning but they were not eating old paint. The brains oozed out of one victim when it stuck it's head out of the stone wall. It was a great shot.

Yep, it really takes a head shot to stop them. Body shots are merely flesh wounds.

Moth balls will keep them away. They hate the smell. Also, you can get a repelant. I think it is synthetic panther urine.

I recommend a semi auto 16 gauge with full choke to pepper the bastad's...

My dad was extremely proud one day when he heard me fire off 7 rounds in about 8 seconds with his "sweet 16" shotgun.... that varmint was dancing in the treetop's.... varmint and about three oak trees lost there lives that day.

Christ,

I just Googled that shotgun, It's a browning semi-auto sweet 16. 16 Gauge with chokes, and about 30 years old, in like new condition, a ? 60's? model in excellent condition, man that gun is worth almost $1500

The memories are worth more tho, that was one sweet machine if you wanted to pepper something rapid fire
