What year? I've got some literature that came with my '92 1850CC and if your boat is the same vintage I can go try to dig it up.

The Stratos 2300WA has an average weight of 4,200 pounds without engines empty. The beam is 9' 0" and the length is 24' 5" including the pulpit. The deadrise at the transom is 18 deg. I have a single 225 on mine and get 1.8 to 2.0 nmpg. at cruise. With a full load of fuel and gear mine is around 6,000 pounds.

Thanks Stress. I was able to get the info from stratos which was surprising being it's not made anymore. You are 100% correct on your specs. My E-150 van is rated to pull 6900lbs. The seller told me the boat weighed 7400 lbs. Almost a deal breaker. The boat is loaded to fish and has twin evin 150 Ocean pro's adding another 800 lbs. I am guessing. Add the hard top at 200 lbs. max and I'm up to 5200 lbs. Seller is asking 15000! How long have you had your Stratos? any problems? It looks solid and I think it's a good deal. Senergy

I have run mine for 5 years with no problems. This boat is a very stable fishing platform. The wide cockpit and layout works very well for trolling. This boat is more of a fair weather boat. It can pound you when the seas are 3 feet and up. I have the advantage of 4 days off work during the week so I can pick my days to fish. I now remember one problem I had with this boat. The drain for the floor hatch can plug and this will allow water to get into the area with the fuel tank. I made a deflector to protect this area and allow the water to run into the front bilge. My boat is a 1993 model and I do not know if they corrected this on the newer models.

Stress, Was in hatteras in october with my 20-1/2' VIP CC. for a week (which I sold to buy this boat). One captain said he would recomend some good hang-outs for days we would get "blowed-out" I told him we're from Pittsburgh and we don't get "blowed-out" Well we fished every day in some nasty seas, but Hey, we're landlocked up here and can only do this 2-3 times a year so we just "git R dun". The Hatteras inlet cured any sentimental attachement I had to that boat, but we did catch tuna, dolfin, and kings. Something to be said about fishin with a $20 reel in a bath tub 20 miles out. Point is you say this boat doesn't handle seas over 4ft.? It will now, but at least we'll be dry. the 9ft. beam was attractive and the weight puts it in the "manageable" category. thanks for the info. When I get my hands on this one this weekend in S.C. I'll know more about the specifics of the drains, hatches, bilge layout and will try to hunt you down for more advice. 6-8ft. seas in Cape Cod was also an experience! Filled that fish box in 2 hours, 6 hours to clean em. Thanks, senergy

I have a 2500 that I bought last year...I have been all over the boat and was impressed with how well it is built. You will like the boat, very solid.

I had a stratos 2250 wa with a 200 johnson on the back. That was a very solid boat that I reguarlly took out 35 miles. However, stress was right, in anything over 3 ft seas, you would pound and take water on the windshield. The cabin in my opinion sits a little too far forward putting too much weight on the bow. But, if you picked a fair day, that big cockpit came in good. I have been caught out in 5-8' ft seas, and she handled it allright. Overall, a very solid boat, but she will pound you sometimes.
