Need some help - researching 1997 CAROLINA SKIFF SEA SKIFF (V-BOTTOM) 18'6

Hi Guys,

Trying to help out a buddy looking at this model boat:

1997 CAROLINA SKIFFSEA SKIFF (V-BOTTOM) 18'6

Don't know much about it myself, and the boat is not available to look at locally. Need to get some quick information on the hull (good, bad, ugly), and overall opinions on the model. I know this is one of the v-hulls that CS has come out with - this would be used up here for shallows boating/fishing and the occasional near shore / bay cruising and fishing. Any thoughts on this year / model?

Quick bump up - anyone have some experience with this model CS? Seems to be a modified V design, but we are looking at the boat via a few pictures only for now, and we don't have a good look at the bottom / lower parts of the hull. Under a time constraint, so any info would be much appreciated, thanks!

I have a V238 which is the 23ft. model. I love it. I can get in and out in about 8" of water. Its a great boat overall. what more would you like to know?

I guess what I'm looking for is : is the 1997 model the same design concept of the modified V as it is with the newer CS boats? Or has there been significant design change over the past 10 years? Shallow draft is definitely a plus - thanks!

They came out with the semi v in 1997, and I don't think that it has changed. The newst change incorporates the semi v syle and is wider. It is called the dlv. The 97 should be the same as a 2007 semi v
