Default RE: sea star power assist steering

Yup & yes. Had it installed on my 24' ShearWater / F250 originally to make it easier for my wife to use the boat, now that I've got it I couldn't go back it works so well. Makes dodging crab pots and docking in a stiff breeze a pleasure. I'll never own another big motor OB without power steering, really adds to the fun factor of just running the boat.
