Default NEW LUHRS BUYERS BEWARE

Sorry I have not responded to all the questions on my initial post but Luhrs asked me to not make any additional public statements. They promised to provide me with a detailed list of the repairs that were to be addressed. However, I still have not received this list.

Yes, my boat is currently at Silverton but as I have found from other Luhrs owners their boats have sat for months at the factory with little or no work done. I am not the only owner who can not have Luhrs perform warrantee work. My motivation for my initial post as well as this one is to warn potential buyers of the nightmare they will live thru if they make the same mistake as I did and buy a Luhrs. All I have gotten from Mike Hankins the Director of Customer Service as luhrs are excuses and empty promises.

I encourage any other current Luhrs owners to post their experiences on this site for all to see. I will also try and do a better job of answering any and all questions that come.

I have a feeling the way you are posting this will only be counter productive to fixing your problem.

I too own a 2005 41 Luhrs which I have had major problems with. I have found that dealing with Mike at Luhrs has been horrible. My boat was at the factory repair facility in Florida being worked on for 2 ½ months and they still could not address all the problems. I have numerous signed lists from Luhrs outlining the items to be repaired and yet they still did not fix my boat. I know of multiple other owners who all have had the same happen to them, this is not just the case for the 41. Currently there are a few other Luhrs boats at the facility which have some problems. There is a 44 Convertible, 38 Convertible and a 32 Open. It seems that Luhrs has boats sitting in yards all over the country that can not be used by their owners.

I see 41 luhrs or should I say Heat51 one of your last posts on the other "Beware of Luhrs" post was on 1/11/07 advising you were just back from vacation and you have heard nothing. I guess you waited a WHOLE 6 days and did not post anything. WOW. I have a feeling they could give a new boat and you would not be satisfied.

Heat 51 registered on 1/4/07 at 1426 hrs. His last log on THT was 3 mins later at 1429 hrs yet he just happens to log on today and reply to this new thread 28 minutes after it started....I smell something fishy....Heat 51 I apologize if you are legit, but it sure looks like ur one and the same as 41 Luhrs...Good Day

Writing as an auto indusrty insider, I think that the idea of a boat "Lemon Law" is long overude. Owners of $20K Kias have more recourse than the owner of a $200k boat.

The problems may be legit, but 41 LUHRS and Heat51 have a credibility problem.
That's not the way things are done on this board guys. Good luck.
