Product Description
Mobil Aero HFA is formulated for aircraft systems where use of hydrocarbon-based hydraulic fluids is required. It is a low viscosity, high VI (viscosity index) fluid with excellent low temperature properties, good anti-wear performance, and good chemical stability. Mobil Aero HFA is composed of mineral base oil stock and contains shear-stable VI improvers.
Features & Benefits
Mobil Aero HFA aviation hydraulic fluid is designed to meet the demanding requirements of commercial and military aircraft applications. This high quality formulation has a long history of excellent performance and provide long, trouble-free service over a wide range of operating conditions. Product features and potential benefits include:
Features
Advantages and Potential Benefits
High Viscosity Index (VI) Allows equipment operation over a wide range of temperatures
Excellent low temperature properties Provides high performance operation in low ambient conditions
Good chemical and oxidation stability Resists the formation of acidic constituents, varnishes, and deposits
Applications
Mobil Aero HFA is a premium quality fluid that meets the requirements of the U.S. Military specification MIL-H-5606A (now obsolete). It has a very high VI and is suitable for use at temperatures down to -54ºC (-65ºF). While this quality fluid is no longer used by the U.S. Military, it is still used in some older, small private, and commercial aircraft. It is also used in industrial and commercial equipment requiring good fluidity at very low temperatures, where it provides long, trouble-free service over a wide range of operating conditions.

That is a lot of words but I don't see the mans' question as being answered. What is the difference between MIL-H-5606 suffix A and suffix G? If the answer is buried in the text, how is that helpful?
A through G have been obsoleted in most applications by H. Each is just an improvement over the previous. SeaStar calls for A in some ploaces and G or better in others.
To add to what Harry has said, I have found Seastar literature that says use 5606, 5606A and 5606C. Haven't found the reference to 5606G yet but, I remember Glenn E citing this specification as does Harry.
It appears to me that Seastar just wants you use any type of 5606 and they are not hung up on the revision suffix. Usually when you order the stuff the supplier will give you the latest and greatest.
