Default Yanmar - who has good prices

Hello Guys

anyone know where you'll find Yanmar marine diesels at exceptionally good prices? I'm looking for the 315 hp marine diesel (6LPA-STZP) with Bravo X drives.

The price structure is pretty consistent, especially given there are regional distributors controlling costs. Most shops don't keep extra's around so rarely would you find left-over’s waiting to be moved. Great engine by the way, they’ve been bullet proof with my fishing club, and this guys hammer the drive trains.

Mastery Engine or Mack Boring are your only two choices. All the other little dealers work under them. Your not gonna find any significant bargains on that fine engine so I suggest you concentrate on the best service provider in your area. Back in '99-2000 they had an issue on that engine where the valve stem seals had to be replaced. This little chore takes some skill without pulling the head. So concentrate on the very best stocking dealer in your area for the best service. You may find a deal at the boat shows.
Good luck.

Usually best prices on most of the Yanmar powerplants seems to be at the Miami Boat show in Feb. A friend of mine got a sweet deal on a pair or 370hp's and he also got a Mase/Yanmar genset with a soundbox on top of it. Too bad after he repowered he let the boat sit for a year and then had a hard time restarting the 370's.
