Check out the Want Advertiser. I think they cover RI, I know they cover MA & NH. I have puchased and sold boats using that magazine. The last boat I sold using that medium sold on the 1st day. I paid up front and had a good picture.
I've never used the on line offering although I do post the ads on line. The Want Advertiser magazine gets great coverage. They sell them in every convenience store around my place. Take a look in your area to see if they are for sale. If yes that is an inexpensive way to get good exposure.
I put mine out in front of my marina with for sale signs on it, sold in two weeks. My deal with the marina was if he sold it he got 10% if I sold it I would take care of him. He made more when I sold it. He preped my old boat for the new guy and took care of my new used boat when it arrived. All very happy
all of the above.... but as one said.. put a for sale sign up on it.. and park it in a high traffic area if you can..... I live three houses off the beach and parked my last boat in a parking bay within sight of my house.... sold in three days to the third person who called about it... but the way i gave FREE rides to two of the three... sold it for 96% of asking price.
Thanks for the responses. So far I have listed it here, boattrader, and a few local fishing forums, no takers so far. But I guess if it doesn't sell it won't break my heart .
Using the Marina and Signs is out, they won't allow you to hang a For Sale sign on it unless they get their 10% comm.
