Contender hull warranty

I am looking at buying a used Contender -2003- and was wondering if the warranty for the hull was transferable and how long the warranty last.

Be carefull! As far as I know the Contender warranty is not transferable. Not even at additional cost.

What Hamlin said but "sometimes" a great dealer/customer relationship can bridge that gap. Ask seller or local contender dealer to see if they can help out since it is a 2003. We di get one done a a "won" boat.

Actually the boat is transferred to the winner. I know of at least one that was won and the warrenty not given to the eventual owner. We were lucky and even then the fact that they didn't "have " to was brought up. That said, I think that most dealers will and do work with clients on newer model boats to be able to gain customer loyality. Good luck and if it really concerns you , get it in writing.

It is not transferable but I think hull warranties are about worthless anyway. First off, a hull failure is almost unheard of these days, second the fine print of the warranty (including the depreciation factor) make them pretty lame. You occassionaly hear about blistering or something (remember Bubble Boy?) but thats not often.

not only is the hull non transferrable, on my father in laws 21' which developed a lot of cracking in the gel coat Contender said they would only pay to fix ONCE!!!!!
