I have a 2003 Donzi 29ZF, I bought it new from Treasure Coast Boating Center in Stuart Florida. I bought the boat in the beginning of June,2003. We made our first trip to Bimini right away, and we had a bunch of small issues pop up which I assume can be attributed to a new boat. When we got back and were cleaning up the boat I noticed small cracks around the legs of the T-top. =( We didn't run the Boat hard and I was shocked to see them. We took the boat to the shop for them to fix all of the minor issues and had them look at the cracks. They too were baffled  . Donzi, at that time agreed to take the boat to the factory and repair the floor, it was the beginning of June and they said they could squeeze me in around the third week of March, 04. Whatever  At any rate, we continue to use the boat, a lot, and every time I scrub her down I notice more cracks. Not just around the t-top legs but just in the middle of the floor and on the gunnels  They don't come from screw holes or corners or anything they are just random. As more and more of these appeared I became worried that there was an underlying cause. I also noticed that there is a crack around the bottom of the inside of the livewell, it goes all the way around. I also noticed there are bubbles in the gel coat on the gunnels and the gelcoat on the lids for all of the hatches is very thin and has worn through to a yellowish color of whatever is underneath. I keep talking to everyone at Donzi and they decide to send out a surveyor. He inspected the Boat and he and Donzi came to the conclusion that these are "minor mold marks" and should not even be repaired and would in no way affect the performance or resale value of the boat :roflmao: But, since I am a valued customer they are willing to have someone fix just the cracks around the t-top legs and give me a check for $1,000.00 "which I can use for a much desired accessory or future maintenance" What do you guys think about that? Cracks me up! :roflmao: |
