Default Deep Impact info

I have a friend looking at a new 36' Deep Impact. We are set to sea trial the boat in a few days, but other than their web site, I haven't seen much info on the boats. Anyone have first hand experience with these boats?
Thanks in advance...

My first hand experience is the boat overall is well built, fit/finish is of a high caliber. Though the boat is laid out for fishing and provides nice interior space, it was somewhat too fancy for my taste for amount of fishing I like to do...I'd be afraid to rip/tear something. I also felt that for a boat that size the ride was just ok...it banged more than I expected, we were out in 2-4 ft seas.

Your definitely doing the right thing by going on a sea trial, the weather should provide you with some decent chop to challenge the boat's capabilities so you can make your own call. Good luck and keep us posted on what you think.

I know a local dealer of Deep Impact in Pompano Beach - Hideaway Marina - they have 2 or 3 right now. I havent been out on one in the ocean, but i have climbed all over one and they are / seem to be very well put togeather, no screws noticable anywhere. lots of extras, like misters, onboard dive hookas, ect.. . I was told they only make 2 per month per hull 33 and a 36 and to expect a 40ish very soon... They are very wide and with the step hull and tripples i have heard then run in the low 70's and are very dry boats, they have a nice flare...

I agree with what has been said above.

Talk to Richie Powers @ Deep Impact and he will do you right.

Really nice boat and well put together. Fit and finish were superb. I narrowed it down to 4 boats and chose the Marlin 35. I beat the crap out of my boat this year and could not be happier,It's not the fastest but runs well and is dry for a cc.
