Default Boat Shows

I am a boat show fanatic and live on the West Coast. I love kicking the hulls most any ocean going boat. Most all of the boat shows around here can be toured in a matter of a couple of hours. Now that I am retired, I want to go to one of the "Mega" shows. One that may take a couple of days to take it all in. When and where can I find such a show?

Yep, Miami.

Been there, done that 7 times now, and I'm in sunny CA.

Do it!

To each his own and if that is how you get your jollys, have at it. Miami Beach will reserve a room for you if you reserve it now and pay in advance.

Dave, do not overlook the Seattle Boat Show. It’s a good one, one of those mega-shows. Plan on spending a couple days there, maybe more, looking at everything and the boats inside. Also boats down at the docks, so maybe more time is needed. How much time do you have?!?

I asked some venders that do the boat show circuit every year which of the shows are the best on each coast. EVERY vender I asked said the same thing, the Seattle show on the left, and the Annapolis show(s) on the right.

This year the Seattle boat show is Jan 23rd thru Feb 3rd, 2007. We fly in to Tacoma, take a bus to downtown Seattle, stay somewhere downtown. Buses around downtown Seattle are free all the way out to the ball park where the boat show is. No need to pay for a rental car when visiting Seattle. If you get tired of the boatshow there is a lot to do and see in Seattle, and excellent food, all within walking distance of anywhere downtown.

I am not AB but I will tell you that Cuban Coffee (Colada) is where its at. Strong espresso with lots of sugar it is almost like a caffeine syrup. A few of those and you will be bouncing off the walls and need a few Mohitos to bring you down. :-) Add that with eye candy on South Beach and it is great time.
