Default suzuki outboard in the SUV?

i was just watching that annoying suzuki commericial when the guy driving the XL7 SUV and the girl riding the suzuki motorycle swap and i noticed that the suv has a 3.6L 252hp. so i checked the websites and the outboard is 3.6L DOHC 55 degree V6 w/ 24 valves and the suv has a 3.6L 24 valve DOHC.

anyone know if its the same?

Honda shares some auto/ marine engines...wouldn't be surprising to find out Zukie's doin' it, too...my motor is also used in the Element and CRV...

I doubt it but the xl7 we had ran as good or better than the lexus we had at the same time Both of which are the last gasoline powered vehicles we have owned

Actually I'm almost posititve it's not the same. The suzi has an offset drive shaft which I'm sure you won't find in the auto. What's so annoying about the commercial??? She's hot!!

are you kidding, its so cheesy with that stupid high 5 and the "can you handle it" even though one is a motorcycle and the other is an SUV. is there anyone out there that cant handle a compact SUV anyways?

i guess its not so bad as the one when the tracker pulls the semi and tells the guy "make sure you put it in neutral." maybe it was a chevy when they did that.

oh i always thought the offset driveshaft was a feature of the gearcase not the engine. so you're saying its the output shaft of the engine thats offset right?

Dont know about suzuki, but honda openly states that their marine ob are based off of their car engines, I was at the workboat show here in New Orleans the other day and their booth had an ad about this.

And I agree that commercial blows, and suzuki cars dont have any appeal and they shouldnt compare them to their motorcycles which are actually cool.

The samurai had a 1.3 liter engine that put out just over 60hp. No speed demon, but I had an '88 model that I put nearly 160k miles on it before trading it for a gun when I moved out of state (had no way to bring it with me anyway). Over 11 years, the only real problem was a fuel pump. On the highway, the petal stayed at WFO (that's sort of a misnomer though) all the time. Could hit about 75 going downhill...

Got pulled one time and the trooper told me he clocked me at like 77 (going slightly uphill). I kind of laughed and told him it couldn't go that fast. Got off with a warning.
