Default Need advice of purchase of Glacier Bay 260

I have been looking for a used Glacier Bay 260 caynon runner for a month now. I've found an owner who is upgrading to a bigger boat and is really willing to sell at all cost. I have offered him $65,000. for the boat. Is this a good offer or have I offered too much? The boat is:

2003 Glacier Bay 260 Caynon Runner
Twin 2003 Yamaha 150 hpdi (125 hrs)
Taco outriggers and center rigger
Raymarine SL 70 plus radar/gps
Raymarine SL 760 sonar
Raymarine st 5000 autopilot
XM radio with speakers
Bottom paint
Spot light
New Triple axle trailer

I would love some advice from Glacier Bay owners.

You made a good offer since it includes a trailer. You'll love the HPDI's.

Did you search Boatrader and Yachtworld before making the offer?

Sounds like an deal. It is an 2003 boat with only 125 hours, they didn't use the boat very much.

That's half what a new one would cost tricked out like that, sounds pretty good to me. And the 150 HPDI's are good motors.

I'm glad to hear that the hpdi motors are good. I can't believe that used Glacier Bays are so expensive. I did check the Boattrader and Yachtworld every day for the past few months. There's not a lot of them out there. I guess people really like their boats. thanks for all the replys. I'm feeling good about my offer now.

Sounds like a good deal to me. I just bought a new 2240. Like you, I found that there aren't many used GB's available, and the ones that are available are expensive. I originally planned to buy used, but at least I know the depreciation hit shouldn't be too bad when I sell.

Sorry--not a good deal at all. Find a 2665--not a 260--with F150's. I believe 2005 is when the 260 was converted to the 2665. Boattrader. You'll find at at least one asking under $60K, low hours, plus others.

I owned a 260 with Honda 130's. Awesome boat.
