Default Looky here at what I bought today

1969 Bertram MK II 25 ft. Going to get her in the shop next week. In about 6 months she will be ready to go. You can bet my ex wife or anyone else going to take this one from me. Found her down in Tampa. Updates to come soon.

My neighbor has a '64 Bertram 25 that is still kicking just as hard as the day he bought it (according to him). He has converted his to a single Cat diesel. Nice boat. As was said, keep us posted on your progress.

what type of power do you have in mind? Looks like that boat has lots of potential. GOOD LUCK

There's one for sale at a local dealership here. It's a 1972 w/ twin 170 mercruisers. I really like these boats. Can't wait to see what you have in store for this one.

Have you looked at the small Mercruiser diesels? Looks like the transom cutouts are for Mercs already. I think you may have a fiberglass fuel tank, so I'd go diesel now to avoid the ethanol issues along with the gas price woes. It's a real beauty. I love how the 25 Bert has the all gelcoated interior. It's my all time favorite boat.

BigosS
Not sure about the re power just yet, that's a few months off. But im open to all ideas. And yes it still has the glass tank. Going to replace it with a aluminum tank. A lot of other work to do first. I am shocked at how soiled this boat seems. I thought for sure it would need stringer and transom work, but from what I have seem so far its good as the day she was laid up. Still going to take the floor up in a few weeks and check everything out. If your going to do it might as well go all the way. I'm in this one for the long hall. I'll keep this one un till they dig a hole for me.

trollme, please visit one of the bertram bulletin boards for either the 25 or the 31 and post questions before you go ripping up the deck. My 64 was and still is rock solid.

I had a 1969 Bertram 25 Fly Bridge model and kept it for about 10 years. It was a great little boat.

Trollme, we put a single KAMD 43P Volvo Diesel duoprop in just like yours. With the smaller engine box it freed up some cockpit and is still pretty darn fast.

Thanks for the input guys. But I got to get her home first. Trying to find a trailer to rent or someone who can move the boat this weekend. No luck so far!
She in Tampa,North end of the Skyway bridge. Didn't want to spend $4000. on a trailer just yet. O well may have to unless somebody's got some input.
Would rather put that money into the boat for now. Off to work now, back in the morning. Check back then.
Thanks
PS
Got to move her up to Jacksonville
