Default Anacapri boats?

I own a 1986 Anacapri V230 center console w/a 1999 Evirudde 225 bracketed to the transom. The hull alone weighs in at approx 3500 lbs. The boat has an incredible ride and it handles anything that I have been able to put her in to. I have been in the process of restoring/updating the boat and its been fun. Everything has been straight forward. They were built in miami up until 1991 at which time they went out of business. I have heard that the owner was murdered but have not confirmed this. The only draw back to my boat is that it does not have eanough dry storage. Any questions let me know. I've got some great pics and I would be willing to email them to you. ejb

My father had one purchased new in early 70's. They were built by a German fellow and very well built. This was before fiberglass manufacturers began to monkey around with alternatives. Boat was heavy and very well built. I recall that it was an I/O around 22 ft. He went from Miami to Bimini along with other boats that size on many occasions. He was convinced of the quality of the boat. Good hulls they were, that is for sure.

They went out of business back in the early 90's like 91 or 92 & just a few years ago started up again. Not sure if its the same ownership or not, but I don't think it is... Don't think they are same hull molds... Thats all I know, not a big fan of that boat and I do know someone who has one...

Nice looking boat. Move the console back a couple of feet and reminds me of Regulator! Another boat known for heavy, solid fiberglass construction. Any relationship?
