I have a 20' cuddy and I do not use the seat at the helm. Because I am always standing and never use the seat I was thinking about replacing it with a single leaning post, which will be more functional and should save some space. The problem is I am having had a hard time of finding them. If anyone knows where to find them or maybe has another suggestion I would really appreciate it. I have thought about just taking the seat out all together but for whatever reason am against that, Let me know your thoughts/opinions. Thanks
Offers, for the first time, the convenience and comfort of a leaning post in place of an existing chair. The Portable Single Leaning Post is easily attached and removed from an existing 2 7/8"OD chair pedestal tube so you can change from a seat to the Leaning Post or back to the seat according to your preference. Remove your chair from its pedestal, slip the larger Portable Leaning Post tube over the existing chair pedestal for use as a leaning post, or remove the leaning post and reattach your chair to the existing pedestal. They are simply interchangeable. The base plate under the Leaning Post provides the necessary adjustments fore and aft so it can be used on all sized boats. The Portable Single Leaning post has 2 rod holders, an open storage compartment and comfortably tufted cushions. The Portable Single Leaning Post shell has a full height with pedestal of 32 1/4". Cutout: 12"W, 4 1/2"H Some assembly is required. Replacement Cushion (2200-SC).

Got that for my last boat... LOVED IT! You just slide it over your existing seat pedestal. Need to drill a hole and put a bolt through the pedestal so it doesn't spin. Got mine at boat US, made by Todd.

Yup, exactly what I was looking for. How much? Does anyone else make them? Also, who would I go to to get one custom made, Welder? Fabric restorer? What do you think that cost would be?
Lone Ranger- I'm in Baltimore too, Where did you get yours?
