Default Volvo Penta AQ-131-A
Hey how's it going guys? I have posted here before I bought my boat and now I am in the stages of selling it but I have to fix a few things first. I have a problem with the reverse pawl. Everytime I go in reverse it does not kick in and my out-drive lifts up. I took apart my shifter to see if it was it and I did not discover anything. Should I just buy a new shifter? If yes, where can I find one? Would any shifter work? Any help will be GREATLY appreciated. Thank you all very much

its not in the shifter its in the tilt/trim mechanism that latches the drive

Just in case you might want a spare engine and O/D -- I have boat with bad floor with engine and O/D low hours and almost new one in a crate --
