Little (13.5') Boston Whaler question

Somehow I messed up my cable steering yesterday. Seems the cable has come free from the worm type gear attached to the steering wheel. Cable is intact, anyone know how to or have instructions how to re-cable this type of steering?

Thought maybe about just put a tiller steer stick on the Yamaha 30 thats on it. I don't need a tiller to control speed or direction as the boat is an electric start with accellerator controls mounted on the side of the boat.

Sounds like the helm is shot. Super easy fix. Remove cable, remove steering wheel & mount, replace with new one. $100 max
