Hey Guys

Come visit us at theLong Island Boat show this weekend! It will be at the surfside 3 Marina 690 So. Wellwood Ave in Lindenhurst.

Free admission!

We will be at booth # 18.

yea you wrote that on the other post I put. I dont run the show. I wouldnt charge for parking if it were me. But if you want to go to the show just park somewhere else and walk. The show is still free! I mean most shows not only do they charge to enter but they charge parking on top of that so $10.00 isnt teribble. Come with 5 buddies and its only $2 a piece!

It' s not about the $10, but the sneakiness, deceit or whatever you want to call it of the promoter. After a month of ads saying free parking, at the last minute they now are charging for parking. On Long Island, most boat shows and parking are free when held at marinas or dealers. The only ones I know that charges for parking on on Long Island are Nassau Coliseum and some hospitals parking garages. Even the Ducks give free parking.

Please let the promoter / organizer and the vendors know that this is what will keep us away.

I honestly have to apologize to anyone that came to this show because of my post. It was the worst show I have ever done. Not to mention I got injured from a divider falling down onto my shoulder from the wind blowing!
I had NO Idea that they just changed the parking in the last week to $10 after advertising free! I dont think thats right.
I know of about 30 cars that turned away from the show because of that. I agree that was not right and we dont associate ourselves with shows like that. I was led to beleive this show was something different than it turned out. I mean hey it happens but it wont happen again!
There were about 20 vendors there and thats being kind. We sold NOTHING.
I felt bad for anyone that paid to get into that show. I would have demanded my money back.

So again I apologize to anyone that came to the show because of me.

The promoter came in today and made things right. He was apparently very upset by what I said on here but hey I only spoke "the hull truth". I have to say though we have done other shows with him and they have gone very well. It was really JUST this show that I was complaining about and did not want people to think that we do business that way. And I totally understand you guys about the $10.00 parking thing. But I just wanted to update you all that he did come in and make things right.

You are not the first and certainly won't be the last to get snookered .

Just about everything they do has a catch, or a fee, or a hidden charge or a scam.
