Default Places to eat before after the show?

For those of you more familiar with the area, how about some ideas for a good spot or two for breakfest or dinner? I do not know the areaa at all, maybe some local type places, we can all find the expensive steah house, seafood types on our own. Just a thought, but I will be staying near the in water show.

We find that going down the street about 5 blocks from the convention center to Lincoln way, has a lot of outdoor cafes that have surpisingly good food. Further down from there is Espenoza Way that has a bunch of cafes and a local flavor. Either way there is great people watching. There are some smaller restaurants and a deli that is open 24 hours that has good breakfast. I am so ready to get out of cold weather and look at new toys I cant stand it.

great place for sunday brunch is Nexxt cafe on lincoln road, its good for dinner to, it's like a cheesecake factory. You can also go to Van Dykes on lincoln, or news cafe on ocean drive. These are all relatively inexpensive but good and fun, lots of people watching. Also this weekend is also the coconut grove arts festival. Definitely worth to go, its all weekend also

There are a whole host of nice places in teh area near the inwater display. The biscayne area has been redeveloped and there are some good spots. Try Pacific Time or Michelle Bernstein's new restaraunt.

If you are looking for standard food, there are plenty of places at Bayside.

I have never been to Nexxt Cafe ad not been disappointed w/ food and service. Great location and ambiance, fair food and abysmal service.

there is a diner on Washington ave near the conven cntr. looks like the old diner car type place, heard it's great, according to food channel...as others have said, Lincoln rd has lots to choose from...the mention of Michelle Bernstein...IF you mean "Michy's"...on Biscayne.....fahgetaboutit.......terrible, over priced,3 apps and 4 meals and only 1 was acceptible...never go back........Monty's is good, little pricey lately tho...if you can get over to bayside, Los Ranchos...terrific...good staeks, pork AND fish...the emerald snapper is best IMO........
