Question

If you plan on renting a vehicle, I would look at hotels away from the immediate area, you could save up to $150.00 per night. Worst is your driving 10 - 20 miles depending on where you decide to stay. For example, if you stay in Miramar Florida rooms range from $133 - $206 per night for marriots, wyndham, etc..

We are staying at the Holiday Inn across from the old sailboat show. We stayed there last year and it was great. $219 per night and we can walk to the parking lot where the shuttle picks up at the coliseum. Plus there are reasonable restraunts in the open air shops.

South Miami is a great bet with a few good hotels that are not as expensive. Hotel Indigo which is a Holiday Inn property, near Dadeland Mall for instance is $150 per night and near the U of M, Coconut Grove and South Miami, which by the way is having their annual Art Show the same weekend. It is about a 30 min drive give or take to S Miami.

I will be coming down from TN. what areas would you all suggest a reasonable priced room North of Miami? I am looking at around $100 a night. I can drive 50 miles to save 200 dollars a day on a hotel. Also how many full days do I need to plan on spending at the show?
