Default New seat back for my Sailfish 2660...

So I have a 2006 Sailfish 2660 with a livewell leaning post. The leaning post just had a plain SS backrest that did nothing but hold the seat back cushion. In 07 Sailfish redesigned the whole leaning post, and included rod holders seat back. I was envious for a while .... but not any more ....

I worked with Birdsall Marine to design a replacement with rod holders, cup holders, and a handrail. I am really pleased ... it turned out great ... perfect welds, solid as a rock, very functional. Here are some pictures, first the original, and then some of the new one. I really like the "blind" mounting pad they used to attach the seat back to the console.

This was my first business with Bob Senior and Junior at Birdsall. These guys run their shop like professionals ... different than what you often see in this industry (and in South Florida). You can see the quality and workmanship for yourself, but they also did the little things like ... returning phone calls, took and delivered my boat on the dates they promised, and finally they presented me a bill that was slightly less than the quoted price.

Sweet set-up! Kudos to Sr & Jr for getting it done.

Did they reuse the backrest cushion or make a new one?

I asked them to reuse the seat cushion. This was the easiest and cheapest way to keep them matching.
