The problem is that it is not worth the $150 it is priced now. Afterall, it is a Raymarine product. That is the same radar unit I had that was a piece of junk. You will spend more money in gas and shipping costs going back and forth to the have it shipped off for repairs than it is worth. And then the good part comes, the warranty expires and now you pay the big bills...that is, if you want to make the attempt to fix it.

Wow....Don't hold back man! Tell the guy how you really feel :nono: Why the negative response? If you don't want to buy it....skip by the ad.

One reason I am a member of this forum, and I read it often, is because of reading two sides of stories. I think Tim’s comments is very valuable.

jagsare1 I don't know that one bad experience is teh whole company. I have never seen a product that was mass produced not have one bad unit out there. I have had problems with every company one time or another from Sony to ratheon to garmin. Does that mean it is all crap.... everyone here has had a problem with one engine brand or another on here so they are all crap? the boat you have I am sure someone has had problems with that model or brand so that must be crap too according to you

That is exactly what this forum is about.

Actually, this forum is for selling stuff. If you want to blast the product, go to the electronics forum.

You are right. I did not realize wellcraft290 was the seller. By the post, it looked like he was just pointing people in the direction of something he thought was a good deal. That is my fault and I offer my apology.
